Fabulous Fridays

Oh my, Friday is here, and how I would love to be in a warm salty ocean for the weekend! I grew up in California (not warm, but salty ocean), and in Hawaii ( the loveliest salty water
E-V-E-R ), and am a surfer girl at heart, even though those days are long gone. I came across the work of photographer Mark Tipple, and am in awe! How I would love an entire wall of large sized prints to dive into and get carried away...
The underwater surfer shots are amazing ~

I am way overdue for an ocean fix...
I still remember the day when I first went to the ocean beach in San Francisco as a child. I was mesmerized with the pounding of the surf. After experiencing lakes and rivers, the ocean was so different. Later, learning to bodysurf and boogie board ( I never got past paddling on a real board!), I truly became in awe of the power and the beauty of those waves.

Monday Mornings...

What a better way to start off your Monday than with a LARGE bouquet of the most beautiful flowers...
I have no idea where this bouquet is,but it is just fabulous, isn't it?!

15 years ago a british farmer planted 6,000 oak trees to form a heart shaped meadow in honor of his late wife ~

A Burst of Colour

Niagara Falls in colour...

I came across these pictures of the Festival of Lights at My Modern Metropolis, and they certainly brightened my day...
so had to share!

I visited the Falls as a child, but they were nothing like this...

Incredible, no?

I love colour and lights....maybe a little of Vegas is rubbing off on me!

Have you ever been? I would love to go and see them lit like this, however I appreciate them au naturel in all of their glory too.

Speaking of Canada, KD Lang put on the best performance I have ever seen! Her tour has just started, if you are a fan I highly recommend going, you won't be disappointed. Sitting 20 rows back at The Smith Center, our new high tech Performing Arts Center, and hearing her sing "Hallelujah"...was life changing!
Not only her voice, and her band...but she is an amazing performer and entertainer whose enjoyment on stage is infectious....she had 3 standing ovations...I would go again in a heartbeat.

How's your weather? Here in the desert in Las Vegas, we have had the most bizarre weather ~  we went from 112 (typical) to 80 and crazy thundershowers, with lightning and hail! We have had more rain in 3 days than we get all year...

Changes are upon us ~

I will be out on a DATE with my husband, which doesn't happen often enough ~ we are off to see KD Lang, whose voice I just love...very excited to see her at the new Smith Center here in Las Vegas.

I spent a large part of my childhood in San Francisco (back and forth from Hawaii), and consider it my "hometown." I came across Pottery Barn's Pinterest Board on the City, which took me down memory lane...what a wonderful city!

I came across photographer Fulvio Bonavia's series "A Matter of Taste" on Yatzer today, and was completely amazed... 

I had to look really close at first ~

The creativity is mindblowing, no?

Truly original,

it brings a smile to my face...

And so I had to share!

My kitty would follow me everywhere if I wore this ~
