My Inner Snake Comes Out...

I am, in Chinese astrology, born in the Year of the Snake...and am therefore intrigued with anything to do with faux snakes.
The entire line of jewelry by Los Angeles based sisters Karen and Gina Koenig makes me drool with envy....
I want 2 of each ( one on each arm), in every colour. You don't need much else with these on. Unless of course they decide to start doing shoes and bags in these gorgeous shades.
Visit their shop, "Unearthed", here.

Lisa Golightly Has Some New Ladies to Show Off

I am a big fan of Lisa Golightly's work, and have several of her pieces. She recently opened a new online boutique, and created some new pieces. I am looking for some wall space somewhere in my home for these ladies, I really love them, don't you?
See more of her stunning work here.

Rain, Rain, and More Rain in Las Vegas

It has been raining straight for three days...For Las Vegas, this is a very strange and unusual occurence. I cannot complain, others have it way worse ( except in the summer when we are HOT). But it is strange, the way the weather can affect you. I moved here from very rainy places in California, so I know rain very well. But I had forgotten...
If I could curl up all day by the fireplace with a book, or sit and read blogs all day I would be quite happy. Unfortuneatly however my days are quite busy, and the show must go on... I can only imagine being in the snow! I hope all of you out there are surviving your weather. I will have a newfound appreciation for the sun when it decides to come out again...
For the first time in five years, I have had to open up one of these...

Target Fans...Jean-Paul Gaultier is on his way!

It really is impressive, this line-up of top designers that Target has been luring in. And at a fast clip, I might add. March 7 Jean-Paul Gaultier debuts his Target line, with Madonna being one of the collections' inspirations. The line will range from 17.99 to $199.99.
What do you think of it? It is frightening to me to re-visit some fashion era re-runs...especially when age has appeared out of nowhere. Would I wear one of these outfits to pick up the kids at school? Would my babysitter think I was cool in an outfit en-route to the "Strip", or would she think I was living in a bubble....
hmmm...I'll take it piece by piece!

Not sure if I am crazy about all of the pieces, but I will make sure that I am at Target March 7 to check it out....

Hotel de Glace in Canada...I have always wanted to stay in an Ice Hotel!

I am so intrigued with the idea of a hotel made completely of ice. At the Hotel de Glace in Quebec, there is, right now, a special offer of $179 Canadian (until January 31, when it goes to $332 ) a night. I wish it were closer, I would love to stay over for a night ( I think one might be enough for my thin blood).
What an amazing spot for a wedding, don't you think?
I hope you find time to chill this weekend,
Have a cocktail at the Ice Bar in, of course, an ice glass...and don't forget your gloves!

The beds have an ice base, but are topped with boxsprings and mattresses, blankets, and arctic sleeping bags. Do you think this would be cosy?
You definitely need someone next to you for the body heat!
The coloured lights create such a cool (literally) atmosphere!
The tables and chairs are carved from blocks of ice.
All of the 36 guest rooms have hand carved ice paintings.

I really like this room...I wonder about the bathrooms?

Sculpted columns and chandelier made of ice...

Casa Manni is Where I Will Be Staying Next Time I am in Roma

The Piazza at the Pantheon in Roma is one of my favourite places in the world...I could hang there all day, and have! Next time I go, I have the perfect place to stay...
Casa Manni, a luxury penthouse designed by Adam D. Tihany, is located a stone's throw from the Pantheon, in a 17th C. palazzo. The ultimate example of Roman hospitality ( not to mention decor!), you have the option of having some of Roma's best chefs cook in your own kitchen, choose which wines from the 1000 bottle cellar that you would like stocked, a goes on and on! And very reasonable too...ranging from 530 Euro's in the low season to 800 Euro's in the high season. I'm planning already!

Rodarte for Target

The classic and modern collection by sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte are at Target until January 31. It debuted December 20, so is a little picked over, but you can still find some pieces online. Lace, tulle, leopard and is right up my alley! Of course I will modify a bit, now that I am not in the "20's" age category any more...The collection was inspired by Faye Dunaway in Bonnie and Clyde, Mia Farrow in Rosemary's Baby, and Ruth Gordon in Harold and Maude.
Prices range from $9.99 to $79.99
It's hard to see the detail of the lovely gray leopard sequins here...they also have a cool zip front hoodie in this print.

I'm looking forward to summer to wear this with a tan and delicate pumps...

I am not a fan of yellow, but love this lace cardigan on top ...there are pretty lace and satin cardigan's in several shades.
This look is a little "junior" for me, but taking the skirt and mixing it with a little sheer cashmere sweater, keep the tall boots with more opaque stockings? I just love the colour!

You can get the black lace stockings there also...$12.99!

I really liked the tulle in navy...cute blouse available too.
