Shopping for My Man

I don't know about you, but I love shopping for my husband...and sons...and me (of course!). My husband and I had a rare shopping date the other day, and took off to the Outlets to get some work wear for him. Las Vegas has a pretty great Outlet, with Etro, Dolce e Gabbana, Hugo Boss, Ferragamo, to name a few. We love to shop together and used to have alot of fun in Italy shopping (pre-children). There is just something about a man in a suit with a smart crisp shirt, cutting edge tie, and slick shoes. I really love putting them all together. We ended up with shoes, belts, suits, trousers, shirts, and some killer Etro ties... A good day all in all! Next time it will be my turn...

A Beautiful Celebration of Love, Indian Style

I usually don't like to "borrow" from other blogs, but when I came across this wedding celebration of Poonam and Chirag on the very popular A Cup of Jo, I had to follow the link to see more at Our Blog of Love right away. This three day explosion of beauty, color, tradition and LOVE is so stunning and inspirational! I do not know this couple, but I wish them much happiness in their lives together. I find every detail just amazing. Many thanks to them for sharing.
Have a great weekend,

Busy Getting Ready for La Famille while Dolce Dreams is Going Strong

My sweet little sister is coming to town for her birthday, (a special one), along with the rest of my family. We try to all get together at least once a year, it is hard with all of us all over the place. I am so looking forward to being together! In the meantime Dolce Dreams is going strong, I have orders coming in from all over the World, which is very exciting to me!
La Vita e Bella...Hot (105 today), but good...
There is nothing like a sister....
Three generations in black ( my son was having a Batman party). It is time for a new group shot, perhaps poolside...

I may have a custom order to duplicate this quilt that I made for my Grandmother in Rome a few years ago... searching for fabrics is so much fun!

What Lies Behind These Gates in Malibu?

With entrances like these, you can only wonder what the Estates are like. Do they follow the style of design in the gate? It would be interesting to see!
For years I made the commute along Pacific Coast Highway from Santa Monica to "The Boo" to work at Granita, Wolfgang Puck's beach spot to the Malibu celebrities. Through mudslides, earthquakes, riots, and fires I went. Life is not boring in Malibu. With two ways in and two ways out, it is challenging to get there at times ( unless you have a helicopter). One of the most beautiful spots on Earth, all homes are at high risk when Nature goes wild. Enjoy every moment and soak in the beauty. The dolphin gates remind me of riding alongside the ocean on the bike path, stopping to watch the dolphin families that cruise along close to shore...what a treat!
